Sources and licenses for the public emoji styles available in PARROT CHAT.

System

Uses the Unicode emoji supplied by the device operating system and browser. Appearance may differ by device.

Twemoji

Graphics are from jdecked/twemoji. Graphics are licensed under CC BY 4.0, and code is licensed under MIT.

OpenMoji

Graphics are designed by the OpenMoji project and licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. PARROT CHAT displays the original graphics without modification.

Image delivery

Original Twemoji and OpenMoji SVGs are delivered from version-pinned jsDelivr URLs. The device's system emoji is used automatically if an image cannot load.

Custom packs

Custom packs accept Unicode emoji only. Image and external URL uploads are not allowed, so custom packs cannot send tracking resources to chat participants.
